Charity Bicycle Fixing - Problem Solving Exercises for Teams
Our bicycle building workshop is a team-building Thai event that is quite challenging even though you can make it even harder but in addition of that very rewarding. The event is based on three different parts: first, finding answers to different problems, second, assembling the bike and third, giving it away to a child which is the reward. All those together aim at improving communication and leadership within the teams in a professional but funny way.

THE ACTIVITY

Following the briefing that we will do to different teams, they will have to find the solution to some problem questions thought to enhance and improve their team communication and collaboration competencies.

Most of problems are centered about kids’ world and include: solving clues, shopping, and even some artworks. Once all the parts have been collected, Teams will move onto the « assembly workshop » where they will be given the remains of a kid’s bicycle and also a tool kit to be able to fix everything.

THE CHALLENGE

You can make it harder and funnier by adding some challenges such as assembling the bike with a blindfold on or with all team members having their hands linked to each other. Each team is running on the clock! Time matters, the fastest team to complete everything will be considered as the winner. Once the bicycle is fixed, its security will be checked by our staff. Working all together on a complicated but funny task while being time-bound will surely improve their team communication and relationship on a professional matter.

THE REWARD

At the end of the activity, there is one of the favorite moment of people doing this activity: giving the assembled bike to a kid, seeing his smile is priceless- each team will donate their bicycle to an unprivileged school of our choice or also to an underprivileged child, usually from a local orphanage, foundation, center!

We do believe that it is a great opportunity to strengthen team bonds and learn useful skills through problem-solving exercises. In the end, it offers a truly rewarding experience.
